Hundred of people floating on boards on the river Danube
If you are in Budapest during the first weekend of August, you might not want to miss this spectacular event: the first Stand Up Paddling (SUP) Budapest event will take place on Aug 6, 2016, starting at 10 am.
SUP (Stand Up Paddle) is a new, fun kind of water sports. This is a form of surfing (with Hawaiian heritage), where you can stand up on your board and drive yourself with a paddle. This means it is an eco-friendly sport (as you don’t need much equipment), and also can be an effective total body workout.
On Aug 6 from 10 am, at least 100-200 men and women will gather to discover SUP and admire the riverside attractions of Budapest from the water.
The group will arrive at the Parliament approx. between midday and 1 pm, making a fascinating sight from the city center.
Don’t miss this chance to challenge yourself in a rare sport event. Rent your stand up board, and enjoy an awesome view of Budapest from the river Danube.
Rental: please contact the organisers via email at zarand [at] kiteline [dot] hu
To enjoy these beautiful sights in a more relaxed way, we recommend you to take a Danube River Cruise in Budapest, which can also provide an excellent photo opportunity in Budapest.
