Hello,I have a question about the optional stop on the Margaret’s island,
do we actually have time on the island to see sth? Another question: is the 2pm cruise available for the 16th of June. Thanks in advance
Hello Carolina,
yes, you can enjoy a 1-4 hour break on Margaret Island (http://margaretislandbudapest.com/) by using the hop on hop off options included in the guided river cruises during daytime cruising. Note: the drop off dock is the same as the pick up dock and boats regularly stop there to pick up guests who have explored the island. If, for any reason, you decide to finish your visit on the island earlier, you can also walk off the island to Margaret Bridge (which has a wide footpath and car road leading down to the island), and take the tram number 4 or 6 to get anywhere else in the city. So you do not need to wait for a cruise ship to pick you up, but your ticket includes a return ride.
Your cruise ticket is valid for the way back, so you can arrive around midday or in the early afternoon on Margitsziget (Margit Island/ Margaret Island), explore the attractions on the island, then come back with the 15:30 or the 17:00 cruise (please be at the dock 10 minutes before the cruise starts from the island). Note: the 3.30 or 5pm cruises are times when they leave from the Pest side dock. These are not the times of the island dock pickup as the boats need to float to the island dock first.
Also, please note, that the 17:00 / 5pm cruise is the last guided sightseeing cruise that stops at Margaret Island, and it normally reaches the island between 5.30-5.50pm. Please find more details on the link below:

Hi Guys, We are looking to book for next wednesday (March 6th 2019) and wondered if the 2pm cruise would allow us to visit Margret island for an hour and then hop back on to finish?
Our flight is later that night so we are needing to plan this in advance: Thanks :)
Hello Sam,
yes, in March the following sightseeing cruises (Cruise & Guide on Panorama Boat) will stop at Margaret Island:
10.15am, 11am, 11.45am, 12.30pm, 1.15pm, 2pm, 2.45pm, 3.30pm, 4.15pm

Ηi there
I am interested in the sightseeing cruise at 2pm for this Sunday 27th of March. Is there available tickets and will you stop at Margaret Island?
Thanks
Hi Kyriaki,
yes, there are available seats left on the cruise for Sunday. The cruise will stop at Margaret Island.
Hello,
I want to reserve a cruise for December 14th.
I’m trying to choose one of the following options: 2pm sightseeing cruise, the 3h30 sightseeing cruise and the wine cruise. Can you please tell me the exact place from where each of this cruises depart.
Many thanks in advance.
Dear Catarina,
thank you for your inquiry.
The 2 pm sightseeing cruise departs from Dock 7 near Vigado Square.
The 3.30 pm cruise runs only between March and October.
Wine Cruise: the actual dock depends on what the Danube city authorities allocate to this cruise (this cruise has no permanent dock). There is a meeting place for the program with all details sent in your confirmation email after purchase.
i am wanting to book this for November 10th are we able to visit Margaret island at this time of the year.
thank you
Hello McKay, unfortunately, the Margaret Island option of the sightseeing cruise is only viable between March and October, none of the winter cruises offer a stop at the Margaret Island between Nov and Feb. So November 10 offers the cruise without a stop at Margitsziget.
That said, the island is open of course all through the winter period, and is free of charge to visit. So you can still visit Margaret Island as an independent trip, after or before the cruise. The easiest route from the dock of the cruise to the island is the following (linking google maps here from number 7 Dock on Vigado Square to the southern entrance of the island): https://goo.gl/maps/XsnoVbTQU3P2
The trip from the Pier to the Margaret Island is about 25 – 30 min by streetcar number 2 and a little bit of walking.
Hi there!
Is online booking the only way to buy tickets? Can I buy it after I arrive Budapest?
Hello Kammy, you can buy the cruise tickets on the spot but you may not get a ticket if seats run out. It depends on which cruise you wish to take: the 2pm sightseeing cruise can get full too, especially if there is a group of tourists making a cruise reservation. If you wish to check the cruise tickets at the dock, the cruise leaves from and arrives at Vigado Square, Dock 7 (Legenda Dock), which is located in the city center of the Pest side of Budapest (District V)
