Most of the visitors combine the cruise trip with a suburban train trip (called HEV train), which goes from Batthyany Square (Budapest) to Szentendre. The train trip takes approx. 40 minutes. Taking a boat from Szentendre to Budapest offers a dramatic entry to the city of Budapest, and a short but nice 1 hour boat tour. On the other way around, the tour from Budapest to Szentendre is more relaxed, as the cruise takes longer upriver (approx. 2 hours). This way you are leaving behind the Pearl of the Danube as Budapest is often called, to arrive at the countryside gem of Hungary, and enjoy the views of Szentendre from the river with all the little churches on hills.
