What type of proof do you accept for student tickets? Will an English University ID card suffice?
Hello Gemma,
yes, international Student IDs (including British student cards) are accepted and entitle you for a student discount on Budapest river cruises. Please note that not all river cruise programmes have student prices, for instance, the 4 course dinner cruises only offer adult and child tickets. Before buying a cruise ticket please make sure that you are informed about the options for students.
Enjoy your Budapest trip.
Hello, I have sent you an email but just in case you see this first. Please can you send me confirmation of my booking as I haven’t received anything. Thank you.
Dear Leonie,
thank you for contacting us here too.
We have forwarded the confirmation email to your given email address. Please check the junk/spam folder of your mailbox too.
My daughter and I are on last minute trip to Budapest and have nothing booked. Do you have availability on any of your Tuesday 9th cruises? If so, can we use confirmation of booking on mobile phone email? No printing facilities
Dear Joan,
I can confirm that there are available seats left on the cruises for tomorrow (Aug 9). No problem if you can’t print out the confirmation email, you can show it on your mobile phone as well.
How many people are usually on the boat during the summer months? Weekday vs. weekend?
Thanks
Dear Beth,
thank you for contacting us.
The number of the guests on the 10pm Budapest Cruise varies depending on the size of the actual boat itself. The maximum capacity of the the smaller ship is 200 people, while the biggest boat has a capacity of 400 people. On weekends it is usually the biggest one, Europa that cruises.
Please do not worry, it is never overcrowded.
Booking for the late night cruise is on:

Enjoy your time in Budapest.
Hello, just wondering whether this area is safe at night for a sole female traveller. I am staying approximately one km away. Will it be safe to walk home after the 10pm cruise or are there taxis nearby?
Hello Cheryl,
I would say that the city centre is quite safe even at night, but if you decide to get a taxi instead, the cruise hostesses will be happy to call you one after the cruise.
Can I buy a ticket just before the course ?
Dear Mateusz,
yes, you can buy your Budapest cruise ticket on the spot before the cruise, but please note that in this case, unfortunately, we cannot guarantee your seats. If you wish to secure your places on the cruise, I would recommend you to purchase your tickets online in advance, especially if you are interested in a cruise with catering or a weekend day (Fri / Sat / Sun)
Hello. I see that the meeting place is at the Danube Palace, not the dock. Is there a reason for this? Will we be bussed to the dock after checking in? The dock is closer to my hotel than the palace is so I’d prefer not to walk further to check in just to walk back. Thanks.
Dear Kelly,
the 10 pm cruise typically leaves from the Pest side from Pontoon number 2, right near Spoon restaurant (which is a standing ship restaurant). But the dock is occasionally assigned to the Buda side, near Batthyany Square. From the meeting point, a hostess will escort you to the dock (a few minutes by walk usually). Thank you for your understanding.
Hello,
Myself and my boyfriend will be in Budapest between 31st January-4th February. I was wondering whether the 10pm cruise with drinks will be available between these dates?
Many Thanks,
Ella Watson
Dear Ella,
Unfortunately the 10 pm cruise will not run during these days. You can find all the available cruises in the winter cruise schedule: https://budapestrivercruise.com/budapest-winter-cruise-calendar
Could you tell me the address of where we will end the tour?
I need to figure out return to our hotel.
We plan on taking the 10pm Night Cruise on Nov. 28th, 2015. We will meet you at the Danube Palace at 9:30pm located on 5 Zrinyi, just below St. Stephen’s Basilica.
Thank you,
Linda Masters
Hello Linda, the Danube river tour will end on the same place where it starts from, Dock near the Chain Bridge, from the KOSSUTH Ship Museum and Venhajo Restaurant, as shown on the map here: https://goo.gl/maps/AnhDfZy93Wx
Have a beautiful cruise, and a great winter holiday in Budapest!

Two questions: 1. During the 1.5 or 2 hours onboard for the 10pm night cruise, will the lights of all the buildings and architectures be turned off?
2. I couldn’t find the docking plan for Mar 29, 2015 on either side, which means that there’s no 10pm night cruise on that day. Am I right?
Hello Donald, the sights are illuminated during the 10 pm cruise, which is 1.5 hour in duration. The 10 pm cruise is unfortunately not scheduled for March 29 (it is available on March 28 though). You can take the earlier 7pm cruise of 1.5 hour, with a similar 2 drink package and nearly the same price (it is a tiny bit more expensive as there is live band playing aboard):
