At the NYE Party by the river Danube in Budapest some of the most popular and bubbly personalities of the Hungarian swing and bar music scene will give a show, including the Hungarian ‘Duke of Swing‘ aka Balint Gajer, a handsome talent discovered in the Voice Hungary TV show, the lively Catsby Band, which plays swing & electroswing
featuring the retro sounds of the 1920s-40s with modern beats, and the fascinating and quirky Eliza Bliss, who plays the electric violin often in classical crossover songs.
Songs of the classic jazz and swing will invite you to dance on the floor in the huge and contemporary Whale building by the river Danube. Household names like Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé and Louis Prima will put you in the mood for having a laugh and dance in the New Year. The band will also cover other old-time favourites. Similarly, the
Catsby Band kicks in with a real swing / electro-swing on stage inspired by Caro Emerald, Parov Stelar, and the Electric Swing Circus.
Eliza Bliss is famous for her Far Eastern inspired classic jazz music played on electric viola (from Blackpool to Budapest).

Directions to Budapest Whale
The Budapest Whale is located on the Pest side of the Danube, between Petofi bridge and Liberty bridge, approx. 5 minutes walk from the Great Market Hall.
There are several bars and restaurants in the Whale complex. The venue of the NYE Swing Party is on the 2nd floor in the Panorama Hall.
Smoking opportunity: at the terrace of Whale Bistro (ground floor).
Accessibility: the Panorama Hall can also be approached by elevator. The toilets are also accessible for wheelchair user guests.
