Europa Ship is the biggest event ship in Budapest, one of the most favored venue for romantic night cruises, for unique weddings, impressive conferences, VIP product demonstrations, art exhibitions, special theater performances, banquets, outstanding corporate events, and more.
But most importantly, as a tourist visiting Budapest, once in a while you may enjoy the facilities and huge terrace of the Europa Ship on special night cruises in Budapest: gliding through the stunning sights of Budapest by the two banks of the river Danube.
During the summer months, many of our Saturday night Danube river cruises in Budapest are organized on the prestigious ‘Europa Ship’. The ‘European Ship’ boats not only unique technical and catering services, immense place with separated rooms, dressing rooms, but also a 330 square meters (3552 square feet) terrace and even a – rare – smoking area.
The open space on the first floor of Europa Ship is 660 square meters (7104 square feet). A standing reception on Europa ship on the river Danube can comfortably accommodate approx. 1000 guests, while a seated reception (with the two rooms upstairs) can take up 650 people. The quality of catering service is guaranteed by the Gault Millau rated German Chef and the professional staff / crew.
The Europe Ship is definitely the queen of the ships in Central Eastern Europe with its elegant and stylish design: it is a perfect venue for once in a lifetime wedding receptions in Budapest, Hungary, and unique company events too.
The internal, roofed area of the Europa Ship in Budapest is huge: 920 square meters (9902 square feet), so even in unfavorable weather conditions everyone can enjoy themselves, the river views and the romantic sights in Budapest.
Dinner Cruise on the Europa Ship Budapest – Budapest river cruise by night with all the glitter, beauty, romance and culinary pleasures you deserve on your Budapest holiday!
There are 3 separate rooms on Europa Ship for various events:
- Room Europa (Európa terem): 661 square meters (7115 square feet)
- Room Buda (Buda terem): 139 square meters (1496 square feet)
- Room Pest (say Pesht for BudaPest, so no worries about pests) (Pest terem): 122 square meters (1314 square feet)
The two rooms upstairs can be furnished even for governmental delegations because of the engaging environment and our technical background.
You can enjoy the wonderful view of the Danube from the huge terrace of Európa Ship: the size of the terrace is 330 square meters (3552 square feet).
This is a one of a kind experience to go on a river cruise in the heart of Budapest, you are guaranteed to see the beautiful sights in a special way, which is unparalleled by any looktowers in the city of Budapest. The feeling of traveling past the attractions lends a special time experience, moving with the time and taking in the beauty is thoroughly different from standing on top of a lookout tower like the Fishermans Bastion or the Citadel on Gellert Hill.
The Specifics of Európa Ship:
– Length of the ship: 80 meters
– Width of the ship: 16 m
– Height of the ship: 8,7 m (four floors, tree of them for the guests)
– Weight of the ship: 1000 t
– Engine performance: 2 x 450HP
Our regular Budapest river cruises are on smaller boats, which can accommodate approx. 200 people. These boat tours usually take place on the Attila ship in Budapest.
Not a very good experience!! Certainly i will not come back soon. The food is below average, the service is very poor and definitely NOT value for money! I dont recommend this cruise!
We are terribly sorry about your unsatisfactory experience, thank you for your constructive feedback. We aim to please customers taking a Budapest River Cruise and we hope to improve standards to satisfy all guests regardless of nationality.
If you like being herded like cattle, then this is the cruise for you. At 6.30 we were tod we would go to the boat from the meeting point. Finally left at 7.00 . took ages to board.boat finally left 35minutes late but returned on time Unfriendly staff. Best just save your money and go somewhere else.
Dear Paul,
Thank you for taking your time to provide us with your valuable feedback.
We are terribly sorry to hear that the service on the 7 pm Cruise did not meet your expectations.
We would like inform you that the cruises often have alternating docks, which are assigned on the day of the cruise, hence the separate meeting point close to the river Danube.
The 7 pm dinner cruise is the only dinner cruise with an alternating dock, the rest of the cruises with dinner have set piers (Dock 7, 11, 8 depending on which program is purchased).
When guests gather at the meeting point they walk down to the dock together – assisted by cruise hostesses. The actual dock is 5 min from the meeting point. Guests are not treated as a herd, instead, we usually walk like a standard tourist group would walk, and try to stick together to avoid someone getting lost.
On most cruises guests go directly to the departure place, the actual pier near the river Danube.
Moreover, the river is separated by a fast moving two lane car route from the Danube Promenade, with a few stairs and even fewer zebra crossings leading down to the riverside under the streetcar tracks – for many difficult to find these stairs, so the meeting point also helps those who find orientation a challenge.
If you should opt for a served dinner (a la carte, piano dinner, folk show & dinner) (or a buffet dinner with opera show) you will be welcome right at the Dock, without the hassle of having to go to a meeting place.
I hope this helps to make the process of boarding a little bit more understandable.
Again, we would like to apologise for the inconveniences caused. We hope we can welcome your on board with better service in the future.
Kind regards,
BudapestRiverCruise Team
Man, this place was bad. In fact I have never experienced a bigger rip-off in my entire life. But we had fun. It was like a cabaret, honestly. We were having fun with the comically bad waiters (which made mr bean look like a competent master waiter) and absolutely terrible food (they were even able to mess up tortilla chips – which is unbelievable no matter how you look at it). The view was nice, as it was always better than the worst boat in the entire canal. I can go on, but this should be enough. My advice: Don’t. Just don’t.
Dear Huib, we are sorry that the program did not live up to your expectations. Could you please let us know what you found below standards or not included in your package? We will definitely look into the issue of waiting on the night of your boat tour. We have also contacted you via email to kindly ask you to elaborate on your negative experience aboard. Thank you for any replies. We are eager to sort this out, please let us know.
Went on this ship last night only to realize that we would be standing the whole journey without chairs. When I politely asked a waiter if he could bring some chairs or if he knew anybody who could help me he responded with a very arrogant comment by telling us to bring the chairs up ourselves. When someone pays for a service the least they can do is be nice. The staff on this boat was extremely arrogant and very rude. A waste of money and time, very disappointed.
BEWARE!!!!!!THIS IS THE BIGGEST RIP OFF EVER!!!THESE PIGS WILL HAVE YOU WAIT IN THE FREEZING COLD FOR HOURS, WALK IN THE FREEZING COLD FOR KM TO GET TO THE BOAT AND THEN SIT YOU ON A TABLE WITH STRANGERS TO SERVE YOU THE WORST FOOD OF YOUR LIFE!!! THEN THEY WILL REFUSE TO REFUND YOU IF YOU WANT TO LEAVE THE BOAT!! AN ABSOLUTE SCAM!!! DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SHIT! THE PIGS WHO ORGANIZE THIS MESS DESERVE THE WORST!!!
