The Parliament Tour starts either at 10.30am or 10.45am, depending on the exact date. Please check the booking form to see the exact starting hour on your preferred date of visit.
Schedule of 10.30 am Parliament Tour & Wine Cruise Package
10.30-11am: Registration at Parliament Visitor Center (please look for the hostess with a sign), visiting the Gift Shop of the Hungarian Parliament before the visit
11am-12pm: Hungarian Parliament Guided Tour (approx. 45 min guided tour + 15 min security check-in and check out)
12pm: Parliament Tour ends, a hostess will be waiting for you in front of the Gift Shop next to the Visitor Center, and will give you the cruise tickets
1.45pm: boarding the ship of the Wine Cruise starts
2-3.30pm: Wine Tasting Cruise with 7 tier Hungarian wines
OR – or you can choose to join an evening cruise if you wish to see the evening / sunset hours over the river Danube in Budapest:
6.30pm: meeting at the Danube Palace, which is the meeting point in the city center in the 5th district in Budapest. A hostess will escort you to the dock of the Wine Cruise, which is assigned on the day of the cruise normally (the dock location changes but the meeting point and conclusion point are permanent).
7-9pm: Budapest Wine Cruise with Live Music and 7 tier wine tasting

Terms & Conditions of Budapest Parliament Visit
To Bring with Yourself for the Tour
To be able to participate in the Budapest Parliament tour, you will need to bring:
- Adults: valid passport or photo ID card (especially if you are given an EU membership discount from the ticket price)
- Students: valid passport or photo ID card + valid (especially students from the EU) – Student ID (Students must be under 24 years of age)
- Cruise & Parliament Tour package confirmation email (printed or in digital format)
Security Check
Like in any major state or governmental offices (the Parliament building is such an institute), a security check is needed before entering the Parliament in Budapest, which in nature resembles security checks at airports.
Forbidden items are packages, large bags or objects capable of causing personal injury, such as pocket knives, knives, weapons, gas spray, ammunition, blasting agents or related devices, or any pyrotechnic devices.
Photos/ Videos
Taking photos or making videos are permitted in most of the Parliament building covered by your interior tour, except in the great Dome Hall of the Hungarian Parliament (for the protection of the Holy Crown royal insignia).
Pets
Pets are unfortunately not allowed in the building of the Hungarian Parliament, except guide dogs.
Cancellation Policy
Late arrival or no-show means no refund. The tour cannot be cancelled or re-scheduled.
Please note that the building of the Parliament is a functioning state institution. Due to parliamentary or state events, visits may be cancelled for certain dates. In such case, you will be informed about options of re-scheduling your tour or offering a refund.
The maximum number of guests on each Parliament tour is 20 people. If there is an overbooking, you will be given the choice to reschedule to the closest available date. If we do not receive a reply from you min. 24 hours before the Parliament & Wine Tour package, your booking will be cancelled without the option of any refund.
Dress Code
Appropriate clothing is required for each visitor during the Hungarian Parliament visit.
Pickup & Drop Off
The price of the Parliament Tour & Budapest Wine Cruise package does not include any hotel pickup or drop off, but the cruise hostesses can order you a reliable taxi after the program, if you wish.
Code of Conduct – Hungarian Parliament
As per the Code of Conduct of the Houses of Parliament in Budapest, the following actions are forbidden (based on previous behaviours we assume):
- Wearing or displaying symbols of dictatorship or conducting oneself in a manner deleterious to the National Assembly, to the national treasure of the Holy Crown and the Coronation Insignia, or to human dignity,
- Bringing flags, noise-making devices or other instruments of protest into the building,
- Raising one’s voice, sing or demonstrate in the building,
- Eating, drinking or smoking in the building,
- Sitting, kneeling or lying on the stairs, ground or furnishings in the building,
- Causing damage to the building or to the furnishings,
- Disturbing or in any way hindering organisations and staff in the building in their work.
Guests who fail to act in accordance with the Code of Conduct of the Hungarian Parliament will be escorted out of the building by guards. No financial compensation will be issued for unfinished programs.

There are quite a few attractions in the vicinity of the Hungarian Parliament by the river Danube, starting with the river itself and the Shoes on the Danube Holocaust memorial (metal shoes by the river Danube), and the Carl Lutz Glass House (Every day from 1pm to 4pm). Opposite the Parliament of Budapest, you can find the 19th century palace these days functioning as the Museum of Ethnography (Thu-Sun from 10am to 6pm). In a short walk, approx. 5 minutes you can reach a former Soviet Monument a remnant of the communist past of Hungary on Szabadsag Square (Liberty Square).
