Sightseeing Cruises by Budapest Public Transport – BKV Boats & Docks
With your Budapest Card, you can use the Budapest Public Transport vessels at limited docks (BKV’s boat services) as many times as you like between 1 pm and 5 pm, in hop on hop off style. Please expect to have many guests on these sightseeing boats as the seats are not reserved in advance, and there could be queues at the dock. The simple sightseeing experience offers a unique perspective on the capital’s UNESCO World Heritage sites as well as the city’s efficient public transportation system.
Each BKV (Budapest Public Transport) boat offers an approximately 1-hour cruise with lovely views and convenient access with 5 boarding points dotted along the river Danube, including the city centre docks e.g. by the Parliament building on Kossuth Lajos Square, Margaret Island Centennial Monument, on the Buda side at Batthyány Square, another one at the Buda Castle Garden Bazaar, and finally one dock at Petofi Square. Note: the below Timetable is subject to change and is managed by the Public Transportation company, BKV.
