Passenger Safety & Conduct Information Sheet For Guests Attending a Cruise Event in Budapest

Please find our information as part of the General Terms and Conditions to be shared with all guests participating in the cruise programme. Kindly note that groups – as individual guests – are expected to follow passenger rules and regulations at all times.

This information sheet helps you understand the main safety rules and expected behaviour on board so that everyone can enjoy the cruise safely and comfortably.

All guests must follow these rules responsibly from boarding until disembarkation. Please remember that a ship is a controlled environment where accidents can occur if safety instructions are not followed. Crew instructions are mandatory and a condition of being on board. Serious or repeated violations may lead to removal from the ship, financial penalties, or responsibility for damages.

Onboard Conduct

Always follow the instructions of the captain and crew.
Smoking or any open flame is only allowed in clearly marked outdoor areas. Smoking is forbidden inside all enclosed spaces, including toilets.
Jumping or attempting to jump into the river, leaning dangerously over the side, or encouraging such behaviour is strictly prohibited. These actions may lead to immediate removal, police involvement, and fines of up to EUR 3,000.

Guest Responsibility

Guests are responsible for their own actions and for any damage, contamination, or unsafe behaviour they cause.
Disrupting other guests or interfering with the crew’s work is not permitted.
The organisers and boat operators may remove anyone who does not follow the rules. Refunds will not be given in such cases.

Medical and Emergency Situations

If a guest becomes seriously ill or injured, the ship will stop at the nearest suitable docking point so they can receive appropriate medical attention.
Guests with existing medical conditions should bring any required medication and inform the organiser in advance if they may need help.
For safety reasons, the organiser, crew, and catering staff are not allowed to give, store, or administer medication of any kind—including non-prescription medicines.
