Special Dietary Needs
Kindly note that ‘Free from’ foods (GF, LF, V) are prepared in a kitchen where food containing allergens, such as wheat, milk, soy, nuts and seeds, etc. are prepared. There are ‘free from’ options as a response to customers request, but we cannot ensure that cross contamination of ingredients does not occur in the kitchen despite the staff’s best efforts. If your allergy tolerates traces of elements as part of a desensitisation process, you can request a special ‘free from’ option while being aware of a potential cross contamination.
Halal Dishes vs Halal-Friendly Dishes
Halal-friendly dishes are suitable for most Muslim guests but not guaranteed halal – for example, they don’t contain pork or alcohol, but the meat might not be certified halal, or the kitchen may not be exclusively halal. This option is available on multiple public shared cruises, including the dinner on the Diva Boat on evenings with public guests sharing the same boat and the same Buffet Dinner counter.
Halal dishes are fully compliant with Islamic dietary laws – the meat is slaughtered according to halal rules, no pork, no alcohol, and preparation follows Islamic guidelines. This option is not available on public cruises only if arranged privately with a fully exclusive dinner cruise hire.
(Please inform the cruise staff of any dietary concerns to ensure your utmost satisfaction and safety.)
